BURY ST EDMUNDS

QUAKERS

St John's Street, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk  IP33 1SJ

The Quaker way of life is simple, contemporary and radical.  Quakers worship in stillness, seek out the light of God within us all and work for peace, social justice and the environment.

All are welcome to our Meetings for Worship, held on Sundays 10.30 - 11.30am and Tuesdays 1.00 - 1.30pm.

Our historic Meeting House,  one of the oldest in Suffolk, is open to all.

Quakers (or the Religious Society of Friends) have had a continuous presence in Bury St Edmunds for over  350 years. Though comparatively small in number we are growing and are committed to ensuring the long term future of our Meeting House both as a place of worship and a valued resource for the town.

It is home to many community groups who hire it at a low cost, valuing its accessibility and discreet and accepting atmosphere.
